TheErasmus+ youth exchange Story
Young people from Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania and Turkey, who were involved in the preparation of the project, expressed the need to establish contacts with peers from other countries with similar interests, learn about a different culture, and above all participate in joint activities regarding the future of our planet and societies.
The workshops lasted 11 days (May 20-30, 2022) at the Center for Environmental Education in Ożenna. The mobility was attended by 8 participants and 1 leader from Poland, Lithuania, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as a facilitator and 4 accompanying persons, 41 people in total.
Participating organizations: Foundation for the Development of Local Communities "Initiative" (Poland), PI Youth Association (Turkey), The Center for Culture and Development "Horizon" (Ukraine) and Tavo Europa (Lithuania).
The main topics of the project are: acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences by young people in the field of wildlife conservation, ecotourism and its accessibility for people with disabilities, methods of natural therapy and sports activities as a promotion of a healthy lifestyle and a way to mitigate the effects of the pandemic.
We decided to implement this project because it not only responds to the problems of the present day and everyday challenges faced by young people, but above all supports the most important assumptions related to the development of the young generation in the context of the urgent needs that arise in the context of the development of Europe, cultivating it values, but also in other current areas, such as: digitization, inclusion, and above all
threat of a climate crisis and actions aimed at maintaining the global ecological balance.
